ABOUT MICHAEL D. STEWART, P.E.

Michael D. Stewart, P.E. is a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer based in Cape Coral. He was born and raised in Southwest Florida and graduated from Mariner High School in Cape Coral in 2001. He has practiced engineering here since 2005, over 20 years.

Our firm, Michael D. Stewart, P.E., LLC, designs homes and provides structural and MEP engineering. We work for homeowners, general contractors and architects. We have never lost a structure to a hurricane.

• Florida Professional Engineer, PE #72459, issued in 2011.

• Michael D. Stewart, P.E., LLC is on the Florida Engineering Business Registry, No. 33003.

• Also holds active Professional Engineer licenses in nine other states.

• Signs and seals structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) engineering.

• Single-family home design and full permit drawings in Lee and Collier County, for owners or general contractors.

• Coastal and barrier-island custom home design and engineering.

• Structural engineering for architects, owners and general contractors whose architectural plans are done.

• MEP engineering for commercial building permits, including fire alarm, fire protection and standby generators.

• Structural inspections and letters.

Permit drawings are typically ready in 5 to 7 days.

Our office is in Cape Coral. We serve Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties, including these islands and beach communities:

Useppa, Captiva and North Captiva are in unincorporated Lee County. Sanibel, Marco Island and Fort Myers Beach each have their own permit office.
