SMS / Text Messaging Program - How Clients Opt In
Michael D. Stewart, P.E., LLC uses one-to-one text messaging only with existing engineering clients, and only about that client's own active project - scheduling site visits and inspections, coordinating drawings, and providing permit and status updates. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, we do not use a public sign-up list, and consent to texting is optional and never a condition of receiving our engineering services.
How a client opts in (either method):
1. Client-initiated conversation. During an active engagement we provide our business text number, and the client starts the conversation by texting us first. Our messages are direct, one-to-one replies within that client-initiated thread.
2. Written consent on the signed engagement agreement. Our proposal/engagement agreement contains an optional SMS-consent section where the client provides their mobile number and initials to opt in. The signed agreement is retained in the client's file as the record of express written consent.

If you would like to receive one-to-one, project-related text messages from Michael D.
