Stand-By and Emergency Generators
Permit drawings for stand-by generators at homes and businesses, and emergency generators for commercial buildings: the generator and its pad, the transfer switch, the electrical connection, and the natural gas or LP supply. A generator permit usually needs both electrical and gas piping drawings, and we prepare them together.

Do I need a permit for a stand-by generator?
Yes. A permanently installed generator needs a permit, and most building departments ask for electrical drawings and, for a natural gas or LP unit, gas piping drawings.
Can you do the MEP drawings if someone else drew the plans?
Yes. We prepare MEP engineering as a standalone service on plans drawn by others.
Do you do fire alarm and fire sprinkler drawings?
Yes, for commercial buildings, tenant spaces and multifamily buildings, prepared for the fire marshal's review.
